Danielle Steele’s latest has gotten a chick lit look.  Most of her covers in the past have been relatively plain.

Readers of best-selling authors are remarkably loyal even when their favorite authors produce a few duds. But Lillian Jackson Braun’s readers are really mad about her latest offering and have been very vocal about their feelings on Amazon. Ms. Braun’s author bio has her birth year as being 1912. Some fans are wondering if she is still writing her novels.

A novel on the rise is The Friday Night Knitting Club, by Kathleen Jacobs, a debut novelist and former magazine editor. Julia Roberts is set to star in the screen version, thus accounting for this novel’s sudden popularity. Here’s the excerpt.
